Shoshana Dobrow and Monica Higgins recently published a paper on The Dynamics of Developmental Networks. What I found most interesting about this paper is that larger networks aren't necessarily always better.
Rather, it may be small networks that provide greater content to individuals over time and stronger connections, connections that may prove more beneficial to those especially at the beginning of their career.
